Paalkatta is one of the nostalgic childhood sweet or snack for most of us. As it's prepared with wheat flour and along with few healthy ingredients, it's healthy and can be prepared quickly and easily. It's also known as wheat flour burfi. 

  1. Wheat flour: 2 cup
  2. Powdered sugar: 1 cup
  3. Milk powder: 6 TBS
  4. Ghee: 4 TBS
  5. Dalda: 100 g
  • Keep ready a pan or tray greased with ghee or dalda.
  • Dry roast wheat flour in a thick bottom pan for 5-6 minutes to remove it's raw smell in low flame by stirring.
  • Now add in milk powder and powdered sugar and stir roast for another 2-3 minutes
  • Next add in melted ghee and dalda and stir cook for another 2-3 minutes till everything combines well. Take care to remove any lump formed.
  • Transfer this to the greased pan, press well and level the top.
  • Allow it cool little.
  • Now mark lines to get square or diamond pieces.
  • Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
  • Demould and store in airtight container.
